Year 3 Visit Walthamstow Wetlands

Year 3 recently travelled to Walthamstow Wetlands as part of their science topic of plants.

“The Walthamstow Wetlands were amazing. We met somebody called Catherine and she showed us the wetlands. She also taught us about different parts of a plant. We had an objective to find all of the plants printed on a piece of paper.”

By Luna, Year 3

“It was so fun going to the wetlands! I learned so many new things like the names of different flowers. It was the best experience ever. You should definitely go.”

By Rishaan, Year 3

“When we arrived, we met Catherine. We were recording numerous flowers that we noticed. We even got to walk under a willow tree with ivy on all sides! We looked at umpteen things about plants.”

By Asad, Year 3

“The Walthamstow Wetlands was a wonderful place full of nature and animals and nature. It was beautiful, with colourful flowers and amazing ducks, swans, geese and more. The river was amazing and magical, the flowers made us bloom with happiness and joy inside of us! We learnt about parts of plants and took part in really fun activities.”

By Dina, Year 3

“I think the wetlands was a lovely trip to go on because it was all about nature and life and flowers. The lake was beautiful and we saw a willow tree which made us feel as if we were in a fantasy story! They had lots of fun things like a flower hunt, and it was well worth visiting.”
