Year 6 Imperial War Museum Trip

Year 6 Imperial War Museum Trip

“In history lessons, we have been learning about World War Two, so we got to go on a class trip to the Imperial War Museum to learn more about this topic. When we arrived, we got to have a look around the World War Two exhibit. Some of my favourite things that I saw were the bomber plane cockpit, which was from the actual war, and a miniature model of a house from the war, showing how people lived in the 1940s. After this, we had the task of filming short documentaries in groups of three. We took turns in being the director with the clapperboard, the camera operator with the phone and the presenter with the microphone. It was a great day – I really enjoyed it!”

“In history, we have been learning about World War Two and so, for one lesson, we went to the Imperial War Museum. When we got there, we got to see a life-sized tank and the cockpit of a bomber plane. After, we created our own documentary in groups of three. We also went inside a bomb shelter and saw what a house looked like in World War Two. I really enjoyed it all and I will definitely go again!”
