Year 5 Harvest Festival Performance

Year 5 Harvest Festival Performance

Year 5 recently held a celebration of the Harvest Festival, during which they sang, recited poems and danced. As part of the celebration, we would like to thank everybody for the incredible donations of food and essential items for those in need.

“In assembly we sang ‘If I Were a Butterfly’ and ‘Shine Jesus Shine’ and also ‘Colours of Day’. Every class in Year 5 sang and then shared their poems with everyone to celebrate National Poetry Day and they were brilliant!

We also had a visit from the rector of St. Mary’s Church in South Woodford. She taught us about fairness and helping people in need. She had a bag and inside the bag were lots of items. She pulled out each item and she asked us what we could do with the item to help people in need. Lots of children gave answers such as ‘you could give it to a charity’ or ‘you could give this to someone who needs food’.”
