Annual Tigers Challenge Rugby Tour

“Annabel, Eric, Andreas and Nolan represented Woodford Rugby Club U11s in a national rugby tournament hosted in  Bognor Regis on 14-17 April. There, they represented their club with pride, and demonstrated the core rugby values of teamwork, respect, enjoyment, discipline, and sportsmanship. On two days of intense competition they played against seven other clubs from as far afield as Hull and Canterbury. On the first day they even managed to top their group ñ an amazing achievement!

All four of them have represented Woodford Rugby with distinction over the past  few years, and the season has just finished. It is the last year for all four of them to  play together as next year (u12) boys and girls have to play in separate teams.”

“The pitches were a few minutes away from where we stayed and we drove there with our teammates. We trained for a while before our matches started. The first day was easy and we were at the top of our table. But the second day was trickier as we were playing other teams that had already won. On our last day we had an awards night where we all got medals. One of my players got to hold a trophy that we won for our excellent play. It was really fun and I would love to go again!”
