Origami to stimulate the brain

Churchfields children love origami. Origami helps develop hand-eye coordination, fine motor skills and mental concentration. Use of the hands directly stimulates areas of the brain as well as being very enjoyable fun for all the family to get involved in. So we have scanned in some deisgns. Let your children surprise you with their paper folding art and cover your house with a 1000 paper swans.

The National Gallery

We are very proud of the links we have now established with the National Gallery. Our pupils visit the gallery for inspiration and have been part of the Take One Picture projects.

The Tate Galleries

Churchfields Junior School took part in a Tate Britain project inspired by film maker, Steve McQueen. The Tate Britain and Tate Modern galleries hold an incredible array of work your child can view for free.
