Climbing wall a big hit with Year 5

In April, Year 5 visited the Mile End Climbing Wall in Mile End. They had a fantastic time and got the chance to try lots of challenging activities. The range of activities included climbing the wall with other friends holding the ropes(belaying), using the ‘monkey room’ to try and climb on uneven surfaces and climbing a ladder to abseil down from the highest point of the wall.

During the day, there was also an opportunity to spend time in Mile End Park and sketch the London skyline. This was a great introduction to our ‘London’ topic in Geography.

As a team, we took lots of photos throughout the day and wanted to share them all with you!

We took lots of photos and you can view many of them by following this link.
