CJS Football Team Match Report

CJS Football Team Match Report

The Year 5 and 6 team travelled to Power League Fairlop to compete in a 7-a-side tournament to determine the 7’s league. After a morning of anticipation and excitement, the boys finally arrived and played the first game which they won 8-2. Throughout the day the boys showed determination and respect, and the first result set the tempo for the day.

The boys finished 2nd and therefore have qualified for the 7-a-side finals. The boys showed incredible determination and teamwork and should be extremely proud of themselves. A big thank you to the parents who provided lifts to the boys and for their excellent support of the team.

Player of the day – Henry Year 5

On Wednesday the team then competed in their first 9-a-side league game of the season against Wells. After a slow start the first half finished 1-1. The boys grew in to the game in the second half and began to show their quality which led to the final score being 6-3.

Thank you again to the parents who provided lifts to the boys and thank you to Mr Hall whose fantastic goalkeeper coaching led to some outstanding saves from both Henry and Eric. Saves that definitely decided the game for us.

“On Wednesday we took part in our first competitive match for CJS. We played well winning with the score of 6-2. Seb, Dragos and I all scored two goals each.”
