Every Tuesday the art club gathers with our resident artist Mrs Thornton. Each week Mrs Thornton teaches the children a new skill, from calligraphy to using poster paint, and from drawing to using watercolours. Then, under Mrs Thornton’s guidance, the children choose an area of art to experiment with each week. Some children spend a few weeks developing their calligraphy skills, whilst others focus on working on a watercolour painting.

The art club’s focus is on experimentation with different materials and mediums, encouraging the children to find their own style and artistic interests.
