A Question for the People
Year 5 had a brilliant trip to the British Museum, where they were able to put all their knowledge to use in a workshop called A question for the people.
They were lucky enough to see and touch real artefacts and look closely at how democracy was born.
After a brilliant demonstration by an ancient Athens specialist, Year 5 used everything they learnt to argue a point like they did in the assembly of Athens thousands of years ago.
It was a historic experience visiting the 266 year-old museum! I best part of the trip was getting to touch and even pick up the artefacts. I saw a really artistic and creative clay pot decorated with people picking olives from trees.
