Year 3 at the Science Museum

Year 3 at the Science Museum

This term Year 3 have been discovering how magnets and forces work. As part of their learning, they visited the Science Museum to attend a special forces workshop.

Year 3 were first introduced to Phil the Stunt Frog. This plucky little toy frog demonstrated how forces work in spectacular fashion – he was attached to a rocket and shot into the air! But he survived the adventure and went on to help demonstrate friction, gravity and air resistance!

Year 3 also had an opportunity to explore the Space and and Making the Modern World galleries. They saw the Apollo 10 space capsule, were amazed with the floating Earth display, and saw how different types of technology have changed over time.
