Year 3 at the Bank of England

Year 3 at the Bank of England

Children in Year 3 have been able to visit the Bank of England Museum, at Bank. We arrived and we had to go through a metal scanner because it’s a very important building. Once we were through we explored the museum and had different activities to complete based around money. For example, we had to complete a jigsaw of different bank notes, balance the rate of inflation and our favourite activity was to see how long we could hold a gold bar for! It was 13kg so we really struggled to lift it! We also discussed who we would put on a bank note – they have to be famous and from the past, but they cannot be royal.
