As part of their learning about Judaism, year four visited the Jewish Museum of London to take part in a variety of workshops. The children were able to explore the museum and discover different artefacts that are important to the Jewish faith. They were also able to observe the holy Torah scrolls up close and even practised writing their name in Hebrew using a quill and ink.
It was a very enjoyable day and the children demonstrated the excellent knowledge that they possessed by answering the many challenging questions that were posed.
I liked to learn about a different culture and identify similarities and differences with my own culture. I really liked the Torah Scroll because it was in a sacred ark and it was really big and heavy. Gloves had to be worn when handling it!
