Coding Box Escape Challenge

On the penultimate day of the year, Year 5 and 6 too part in a Coding Box workshop. The children listened carefully to instructions in order to work through a series of tasks, the first of which involved being able to calculate a four digit code in order to crack open a wooden box.

After this, the children worked together in groups to use problem solving and logic to organise and balance chairs (not real sized!) to create a tower; arrange a series of coloured faces into a specific sequence and follow commands alongside reading a clock face to open a padlock.

It was really fun – challenging, but fun! It worked our brains and it was exciting!” Layla, Year 6.
