My name is Sarah Shapcott and I am a co-opted governor, having joined the governing body in March 2017.
My professional background is in project and programme management, specialising mainly in the delivery of IS systems and associated organisational change.
I have previously been a school governor, having served for four year as a Local Authority governor and then co-opted member, at a primary school in Greenwich. I moved to Woodford in the summer of 2016 and as I am now local to the area, wanted to find a new school in the community where I live. In my previous role as governor, I held the posts of Deputy Chair and Pupil Premium Governor.
I have a degree from Leeds University in Russian Studies (BA Hons, 1992) and maintain my interest in this subject through reading and listening to the Russian news. My other interests include swimming, cycling and yoga.
I declare, I or my relatives have no pecuniary or business interests.
Ms Shapcott was appointed as a Co-opted Governor in March 2017 for 3 years.
Ms Shapcott holds the following responsibilities within the Governing Body:
- Member of the Finance and Personnel Committee
- Link Governor for SEND and Disadvantaged Pupils
