I believe there is a growing gap between the current and required position of education to support our young people in both the society of today and the future. It’s an undeniable challenge but I can support achieving that future state using my skills, experience and drive within the right environment. Churchfields would be a great place to effect and pioneer some of the transitions required in children’s education, which prompted me to consider the important role of governor.

My career began in the public sector, specifically NHS and housing, and have since experienced most industries and sectors. My Career in Human Resources, with a specialism in development, is 10 years+ and I currently project manage in a very complex and ambiguous environment. I’ve volunteered, supporting children as a tutor, carer and assistant at various periods in my life; through my parents and research also learning about aspects such as safeguarding and SEN. My diverse experience, background and passion for learning positions me well to effectively deliver as a school governor for Churchfields. Miss Morris joined the Governing Body in April 2019.

I declare, I or my relatives have no pecuniary or business interests.

Miss Morris holds the following responsibilities within the Governing Body:

  • Member of the Environment Committee
  • Member of the Curriculum Committee
  • Link Governor for Training
