Setting Hands On Fire
On Wednesday 23rd May, we were lucky enough to enter a science competition, held at Forest School. A wonderful School, just like Churchfields. I went with Karina, Yuvraj and Ethan, who are all great scientists. The first of three experiments was a chemistry experiment. We were finding out which dwarf killed Snow White, by using a Bunsen burner, a range of liquids and solids and working as a team. The second experiment was a classification investigation. There was a made-up species called ‘Rebop’ We made our own marshmallow Rebop and creating our own code for the genes. The third and final experiment was a circuit challenge. Personally I found this very hard. We made a switch and had to find out what was wrong with each circuit. The final activity was a science show in which lots of fun things were shown. I was chosen to go up to the front and I set some lady’s hands on fire. But don’t worry she’s alive. Ethan also went up and set fire to a balloon.
Overall it was really great fun, even though we didn’t win. The opportunity was amazing and thank you to Sophie’s mum and Ethan’s mum for taking care of us during the event.
