London Youth Games Success

London Youth Games Success

Churchfields Junior School had the honour of representing the London Borough of Redbridge at the highly competitive and eagerly awaited London Youth Games Key Steps Gymnastics competition. With standards and competition for points and places at an all-time high, the squads expectations were great as they demonstrated three disciplines: body management, floor routines and the vault.

Our squads that were challenging for honours and medals delivered, proving their fantastic potential after training so hard.

The Y4 squad Jebriel Hakim, Fahim Sayeed, Georgette Madianganu-Kumbu and Milly Shand finished in an amazing 2nd place overall, picking up a bronze medal for the floor and silver in body management.

The Y5/6 squad Tamari Bailey, Henry Varney, Georgia Bamidele and Millie Woodward finished a respectable 6th place out of 32 other boroughs.

Mrs Bradley and Miss Edwards were highly impressed with their good sportsmanship and exceptional behaviour on the day.
