The Digital Leaders Take Part in the Barclays Robotics Challenge
On Thursday 22nd March, our Digital Leaders travelled into the centre of London to take part in the Barclays Robotics Challenge.
The challenge was located in Barclays Global HQ skyscraper in Canary Wharf. The Digital Leaders were first briefed on the history of computing, before learning an entirely new coding language. They were then set the challenge of programming a robot so it could move around the room without further instruction once disconnected from the computer. Our Digital Leaders were brilliant at this task and quickly moved on to learning how to use the sensors on the robots. They were then set the second challenge of programming their robot to traverse a race track using only it’s sensors.
The day culminated with a race between all of our robots!
We would like to thank Barclays for hosting this amazing day. Our Digital Leaders had a great time and learnt a huge amount about robotics!
