Brazilian Dance Carnival

Brazilian Dance Carnival

Year 4 have been learning about Brazil in Geography and we were lucky enough to have Sally come into school and teach us a Brazilian dance. All year 4 classes got to go the hall for an hour for this exciting workshop. The dance was a traditional dance Brazilians’ use to celebrate the start of lent.

We had to work in lines and it was difficult because we had to step to the left and right all at the same time! During some of the dance moves we had to pretend to pick fruit and make a smoothie with our hands. One of our favourite dance moves was when we beat our chest like a gorilla. We learnt many more dance moves and other amazing facts about Brazil. We wish we could do it again!
