Air Action comes to Churchfields Junior

Air Action comes to Churchfields Junior

On the 25th January former BBC weather presenter Helen Young came to our assembly to talk to us about air pollution and to launch an exciting project that will be taking place at Churchfields. We are one of the first schools in the borough to take part in Redbridge’s Air Action project, which is funded by the Mayor of London. Pupils will take part in a range of lessons, including learning about the Great Smog of London and doing some real science experiments to find out what is in the air we breathe. In this photograph we are setting up diffusion tubes around the local area to measure air pollution. We will also be learning out what we can do to protect ourselves and our families from air pollution. Watch this space!
